According to a LocalCircles survey, ** percent of Indians blocked the spammers who had sent them spam or promotional messages on WhatsApp as of February 2023. To combat spam or promotional messages, most of the WhatsApp users in India resorted to blocking, muting or archiving the senders of spam messages. Meanwhile, ** percent of the respondents chose to ignore the messages.
