The sample size was of 800 participants in each countries except for France, which had 3,000 participants. The quota method was used for sampling.

In 2022, a survey conducted in ** countries regarding the impact of travel costs on people's decisions to travel showed that ** percent of participants from South Africa and Turkey avoided travelling for cost reasons. Figures for Brazil and Portugal were also among the highest at ** and ** percent respectively. ** out of 18 countries surveyed had a record of more than ** percent of survey respondents who avoided travelling due to cost. The country where respondents self-reported the lowest impact of cost on travelling was Japan at ** percent.
