In recent years, the number of crimes involving firearms has increased in Sweden. The numbers from the Region of Stockholm underline this, with an increase in the number of fatal shootings. Even though the total number of cases with fatal violence decreased since 2020, a firearm was involved in more than out of four cases in 2022.
