According to a survey that was conducted in August 2022 in Japan, over ** percent of respondents stated that they would use televisions as information method in the immediate aftermath of a large-scale disaster. Twitter followed as a preferred information channel, with around ** percent. Since Japan is situated along the Ring of Fire, an area where several tectonic plates meet, it is vulnerable to natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions.
