In 2020, the number of low-emission buses operating on Italian local public transport networks amounted to units, a year-on-year increase of around *** percent, mainly thanks to the electric fleet. In recent years the electric and hybrid urban bus fleet has increased considerably, reaching *** units in 2020, an almost threefold increase compared to 2015.
