The automotive industry plays a significant role for employment in the manufacturing sector in several European countries. This is particularly the case for Slovakia, Sweden, and Romania, the countries with the highest share of manufacturing jobs in the automobile industry in the European Union. In these countries, automobile manufacturing jobs make up around ** percent of manufacturing jobs.
