The volume of bicycle production in Austria has been consistently rising over the past years from 2017 to 2023. Bicycle production rose from ** units in 2017, the lowest point in the past decade, to over ** bicycles produced in 2023, an increase of about ** percent. While production in other sectors of vehicle manufacturing fell in 2020 with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, bicycle production continued to rise through 2020 and 2021.
