Ukrainian wheat export volume share 2023, by country development status
As of May 16, 2023, approximately two thirds of Ukraine's wheat exports secured by the Black Sea Grain Initiative have been sent to developing countries since August 2022, when the first shipments under the initiative departed Ukrainian ports. The Black Sea Grain Initiative, which allowed for the reopening of three Ukrainian ports for food exports, was agreed upon by Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and the United Nations. On July 17, 2023, the Russian government announced that it suspended participation in the deal.
