According to a survey conducted in several global markets between **** and , a smaller share of users reported having ever installed web browsers on their devices despite a high number of respondents reporting knowing how to install such applications. Users in India and Kenya represented the exception, with ** percent of respondents reporting knowing how to install a browser and ** percent reporting having done so in the past in India. Mobile browser applications usually come preinstalled in smartphone devices and bundled into the operative system, such as in the case of Google Chrome and Android-powered smartphones.
