About methodology: Circular economy is defined as the combination of the second-hand, rental/sharing, and refurbished market by category. The revenue arising from circular economy transactions is calculated by estimating the three segments of second-hand, refurbished, and rental separately. The segments are estimated using a Monte Carlo-like estimation that approximates, per year, how many consumers "purchase" in each of the CMO-categories and how much they would spend. The estimation of the number of consumers relies on shares taken from the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ Global Consumer Survey and each KPI-per-category is the average of 10,000 iterations.
