The outflow of gold-backed ETFs in Europe has been relatively volatile in previous years. Almost every dip in outflow levels has been followed by an increase, with the first quarter of 2021 being the only exception. In this period the outflow level dropped by an additional **** billion U.S. dollars from the previous quarter. Fund flows keep track of the cash being paid in (inflows) and out (outflows) of a financial product.
