Basic vaccinations include:
1. One dose of BCG vaccine, which protects against tuberculosis
2. Three doses of DPT vaccine, which protects against diphtheria, pertussis(whooping cough), and tetanus
3. Three doses of polio vaccine
4. One dose of measles vaccine

A survey from 2019 to 2021 in India revealed, that the share of children from 12 to 23 months who had received all basic vaccinations correlated with the level of schooling of their mother. The share of children was the highest for mothers who had completed 10-11 years of schooling with ** percent. Comparatively, the share of children receiving basic vaccination was the lowest for mothers who did not go to the school which was ** percent during the same time period.
