*Data partly comes from a panel of 10,000 people designed to be nationally representative. Participants have meters installed across 25,000 personal devices to passively measure website and app usage. Data is combined with data from participating websites which are tagged so all devices visiting the site can be identified and logged.

Data on local news websites in the United Kingdom in February 2022 found that ** percent of traffic to Wigan Today came from its local region. Most of the leading 15 sites by audience share in their main local region belonged to publisher Newsquest, whereas Reach titles, which had much larger audiences, had a more geographically-dispersed audience and fewer readers hailing from their local region.
