Nahuatl was the most spoken indigenous language (although it is also considered a group of languages), with more than **** million speakers. Both the Mayan languages Tseltal and Tsotsil were spoken by over ** persons. Furthermore, about ** of all the indigenous language speakers were located in just two states: Chiapas and Oaxaca.
