A family planning user is an individual who has at least one family planning encounter during the reporting period.
The Title X National Family Planning Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Population Affairs (OPA), is the only federal program dedicated solely to supporting the delivery of family planning and related preventive health care.
By law, Title X funds cannot be used by centers where abortion is a method of
family planning. In six states: Hawaii, Maine, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington, there were no Title X-funded service sites in 2021.
Percentages might not add up to 100 percent due to rounding.
