In March 2022, Canadians' projections for the next six months regarding inflation, interest rates, and gas prices were rather pessimistic. Two-thirds of them believed that gas prices would rise significantly, and half thought inflation would as well.
At the end of 2021, the cost of living and inflation were the first things Canadians mentioned when asked what the next government's priority should be.
