Ningbo Shipping Economic Index (NSEI) is derived by collecting data related to the business and operation activities of some representative shipping companies of dry bulk and liquid cargo transportation, indicating the operation status of Chinese shipping companies and the update of the shipping market, and further revealing the development trend of the domestic and international shipping market and bulk cargo trade market.
The NSEI was released on July 10, 2015, using a score of 100 points as the baseline, and consists of the Shipping Climate Index, the Shipping Enterprise Confidence Index, and the Shipping Climate Signal.
The Shipping Climate Index marks shipping market climate trends and forecasts industry growth trends.
