The Index evaluates 57 countries and the European Union, which are together responsible for more than 90 percent of global GHG emissions. It measures promises and evaluates countries' 2030 targets in emissions, renewable energy, and energy use, as well as looks at current performance.
The highest the index score, the better the performance. In 2022, Denmark had the highest score (76.67) among evaluated countries, while Kazakhstan had the lowest (19.23).
