As of 2023, the special capital region of Jakarta ranked first among Indonesian regions in the digital competitiveness index, with a score of ****. The leading regions in the ranking are mostly part of Java Island, with West Java and Yogyakarta following in second and third place. Most of the regions with the lowest index score are located in the eastern part of Indonesia.
