Changes in hospitalizations in Canada because of health issues due to substance consumption during the outbreak of COVID-19 differed depending on the substance type, however, there was an increase in hospitalizations for all of the substances shown. This graph shows the percentage change of people who were hospitalized in Canada because of substance consumption, in the period from March to September 2019 and March to September 2020, by substance type.
