In the financial year ended March 31, 2021, the Bandai Namco Group generated nearly 70 percent of Mobile Suit Gundam series sales in its home country of Japan. Although Gundam media and merchandise are most popular in Japan, overseas business did account for a third of the Group's sales. That fiscal year, Bandai Namco made a total of 95 billion Japanese yen through its Mobile Suit Gundam IP.
