According to a survey that was conducted in Japan in August 2021, almost ** percent of female respondents stated that they did not know the meaning nor had they heard of the term "multi-functionality of agriculture", while around ** percent of male respondents stated that they did not know it. Accordingly, the share of female respondents who stated that they knew the term was lower than that of male respondents.
