After Facebook's rebranding to Meta, land sales in four metaverses grew to a combined value that was nearly percent higher than in the previous month. These NFTs that contain ownership rights of virtual building plots of digital land are mostly used for online real estate development - with examples ranging from virtual housing to digital recreations of retail stores or the Empire State Building.
