Data are collected by cancer registries participating in the National Cancer Institute’s SEER program and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Program of Cancer Registries. Rates are age-adjusted to the 2000 US standard population. Rates are adjusted for delays in reporting and exclude Puerto Rico. The rate for Puerto Rico is not adjusted for delays in reporting.

From 2018 to 2022, the overall incidence rate for lung and bronchus cancer in Kentucky was *per 100,000 for males and **** per 100,000 for females, the highest among other states in the United States. Arkansas followed with **** per 100,000 incidence of lung cancer among males and **** per 100,000 incidence among females.Â
