Regional distribution of health insurance coverage 2021 in Ghana
As of 2021, Ghana's Ashanti region had more people insured under a health insurance scheme, compared to the other regions. The region registered approximately 3.9 million inhabitants covered under private or national health insurance. The Greater Accra and Eastern regions followed with over 3.2 million and 2.1 million people who had health insurance coverage, respectively.
