Out of the top 2,000 companies worldwide, around half of them that began with a selected M&A strategy kept the same one from 2010 to 2019. The most popular M&A strategy that was kept throughout the time period was the programmatic approach, with almost ** percent of companies keeping this approach. On the other hand, the most popular change in M&A strategies was the change from the organic strategy to the selective strategy, with just under ** percent of companies having made this change in M&A approach during the time period.
