According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by in June 2021 in the Philippines, a majority of male and female shoppers stated that they spent less on average and shop less frequently than before the COVID-19 pandemic. In contrast, less than percent of both male and female respondents reported than they spent more and shopped more frequently than before the pandemic.
