The methodology was described by the source as follows. First, risks were defined (such as water risk). Next, the main ESG factors were evaluated: Environmental, Social, and Governance. Each factor consists of subfactors and indicators. In total, 210 indicators were identified, of which 150 were common, while the use of the rest is dependent on the sector. Each ESG factor has three basic components:
- availability of appropriate policies and programs at the company;
- reporting;
- efficiency and result of the company's activities, which affects the leveling of risks.
In the end, a rating is compiled according to the three main factors and, on its basis, the final consolidated ESG rating. The banks in the statistic are sorted by the overall rank. In total, 160 companies from different sectors were in the ranking. Based on 2022 data.
