The source specified the following definition of an "equivalent consumer (adult)": "In order to ensure that comparison of income levels is based also on differences in household size and composition, the income amounts need to be calculated 鈥減er equivalent adult鈥. For the calculations, it was decided to use modified OECD equivalence scale (weight of 1.0 to the first adult. 0.5 to any other household member aged 14 or over and 0.3 to each child aged less than 14)."
