In 2021, surveyed suppliers, shipowners, ship operators, and shipyards expected the areas of maintenance and fleet management to be most affected by increasing digitalization in the shipping industry. While ** percent of suppliers and ** percent of shipyards believed that digitalization will have an impact on the use of remotely controlled unmanned ships, shipowners and ship operators were more skeptical.
