Respondents were from 1,764 higher education institutions across 34 provinces in China, including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
68.07 percent respondents were from universities offering Bachelor’s degrees, and 31.93 percent from higher vocational education institutes.
59.67 percent at their first year, 22.59 percent at their second year, 11.11 percent at their third year and 6.54 percent at their fourth year.
34.2 percent were biologically male and 65.8 percent were biologically female.

According to the survey among Chinese college students, around **** percent of respondents said they accept premarital sex, while respectively about **** percent of male respondents and ** percent of females stated so. Approximately ** percent of respondents said they could understand their peers who had premarital sex, but they refused to do the same.
