In 2020, the number of registered drones in China reached *** thousand. In China, all drones whose weight exceeds *** grams have to register with the relevant authorities. Drones that weigh more than kilograms need another special license from the country's aviation regulatory body. In addition to that, the CAAC places restrictions on the areas which allow drone operation as well as height.
