In 2021, a survey conducted among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Thailand found that the services sector was the most adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic compared to SMEs in other sectors. The pandemic affected the services sector by around **** percent according to five different factors which were calculated from the loss of income, being forced to reduce costs, facing increase in sunk costs, and facing more risk in maintaining operations.
