As of March 2021, over *** trillion Tanzanian shillings (TZS) were granted in credit to personal and other services in Tanzania. The value, equivalent to *** billion U.S. dollars, was the highest among economic activities that received loans from commercial banks in the country. Trade followed, with three trillion TZS (*** billion U.S. dollars), while nearly two trillion TZS (*** million U.S. dollars) were conceded to the manufacturing sector.
