According to the source, 78 percent of Poles declared to donate one percent of their tax to a public benefit organization of their choice in 2022. The group that contributes the most is Poles aged 35-54.
Since 2004, taxpayers in Poland have had the opportunity to transfer one percent of their tax from their annual PIT return to a public benefit organization of their choice. What is essential, by donating one percent of their PIT, the taxpayer does not lose any money. Taxpayers distribute only the amount which they would have to transfer to the State Treasury anyway.
