As of 2025, AIS had the fastest 5G connection speed in Thailand, with an average download speed of Mbps. AIS, DTAC, and TrueMove H are the three main mobile network operators in Thailand. AIS (Advanced Info Service), founded in 1986 and headquartered in Bangkok, is part of the Intouch Holdings group and has long been a key player in the country’s telecom sector. DTAC, established in 1989, is backed by Norway’s Telenor Group and has undergone considerable restructuring, including its merger with True Corporation in 2023. TrueMove H operates under True Corporation, part of the Charoen Pokphand Group, and has expanded its market position through that same merger, creating a larger combined entity aimed at strengthening competition and accelerating digital infrastructure development in Thailand.
