For the first time in the tournament's history, the games were hosted throughout several nations in Europe. Among these nations was the United Kingdom. A survey from April 2021 concluded that the majority of Britons believed that proof of COVID-19 vaccination should be required for anyone in order to attend any matches in the case of the entire tournament being held in the UK.
