In the fourth quarter of 2020, acquisition activity was higher than in the previous quarters and amounted to transactions in the United States, Canada, and Europe. During the second quarter of 2020, acquisitions of tech providers were negatively impacted by to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the second half of 2020, however, activity increased again, as acquisitions of both communication providers and services and software companies rebounded.
