The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people with a low (At most lower secondary education), medium (Upper secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education), and high (Tertiary education) formal education level. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.

Citation formats

In 2023, 79 percent of users with no to low formal education in Denmark replied that they used the internet to find information about goods and services, three percent less than in 2022. A higher share of users with medium or higher education tended to use the internet for this purpose. According to the survey, 89 percent of people with a medium level of formal education, and 95 percent of users with a high degree of formal education informed themselves about goods and services online.
