In the year 2020, self-employed individuals across India faced an ** percent decline in their monthly income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. In comparison, the type of employees who were least affected during this period were permanent salaried workers whose monthly earnings reduced marginally by **** percent. Nonetheless, the monthly earnings across all employment categories dropped during the pandemic in 2020.
