Impact of COVID-19 on public services for returnees and IDPs in Libya 2021
Libya had a large number of communities of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees as of February 2021, amounting to *** and ***, respectively. In the same period, public services for these communities were affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Education services were reduced in ** percent of the cases. Moreover, ** percent of the communities saw a reduction in the health care services, with medical centers treating only emergency cases, as well as disrupted protection activities such as legal aid and women's safe spaces.
