As of November 2021, malnutrition affected from around ** percent to ** percent of children under five years in selected countries in East Africa. Rwanda had the most acute situation, with **** percent of infants lacking access to adequate nutrition over a long period, which leads to growth failure. Ethiopia followed closely. A share of **** percent of children aged 0-4 years suffered chronic malnutrition in the country.
