According to a survey among real estate investors in the United States, as of the end of 2020, over half of respondents said that zero to *** percent of their investment portfolio is made up of commercial real estate. Close to **** percent of investors, on the other hand, reported having portfolios with more than ** percent commercial real estate.

As of 2020, the largest share of commercial real estate investments in the U.S. were made in the multifamily real estate sector.
