As of the fourth quarter of 2023, the value added of agriculture in Morocco amounted to 27.38 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD), roughly 2.77 billion U.S. dollars. Previously, after a general decline between 2019 and 2020, agriculture's contribution to the country's GDP had peaked at 33.16 billion MAD, around 3.35 billion U.S. dollars, in the first quarter of 2021. Overall, Morocco's agriculture, forestry and fishing sector contributed approximately 12 percent to the economy in 2023.
