As of September 2020, ** percent of the respondents to a survey by EY and ICF International stated that health concerns were responsible for restricting business travel activity within their companies. ** percent of respondents said that both health concerns and a lack of flights due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were responsible reduced business travel. The respondents were selected from industries that involved frequent domestic business travel such as auditing, consulting, or industrial manufacturing.

Before the pandemic broke out, the business travel segment was estimated to make up a volume of ** to ** percent of the domestic Indian aviation sector.
