As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, a slightly higher proportion of higher education students in Denmark considered dropping out of their studies. In 2018, six percent of the respondents considered dropping out to a large or very large extent, a number that had increased to percent by 2021. Moreover, the share of students who felt lonely increased during the pandemic.
