During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, female founders around the world were surveyed in an attempt to gain insight regarding the unique struggles they have faced. These founders reported on their biggest challenges, and whether or not they were currently engaged in fundraising. The biggest reported challenge was customer acquisition, and this was true for founders who were engaged in fundraising as well as those who were not. Only **** percent of founders who were engaged in fundraising struggled with finding product-market fit, while **** percent of founders who were not engaged in fundraising struggled with the same issue.
