About ** percent of children aged 10 to 17 have reported playing video games online by themselves. One of the dangers or qualities of the online world being the anonymity, meeting strangers online through gaming seems fairly easy. Thus, when children engage in such activities, most of them (almost half) do encounter strangers, that they do not know in real life. For 15 to 17 year olds, this occurred more often in France in 2020 than for children aged 10 to 14.
