On February 10, 2021, private media companies suspended their news coverage for 24 hours. This one-day protest was called Media Without Choice (Polish: "Media bez wyboru") and was a response to the Polish government's proposal to introduce a tax on advertising. A total of 73 percent of Poles supported the happening.
