In an online survey conducted in June 2020, ** percent of respondents stated that they preferred to go to a traditional ryokan inn with hot springs attached, after the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is brought under control in Japan. Traditional ryokan inns with hot springs were the stated favorite accommodation facility of Asian tourists planning to travel to Japan.
